Lifejacket Spares and Accessories

Our Lifejacket Spares and Accessories range covers rearm kits, lights and other spares for inflatable lifejackets – the parts needed to re-service a jacket after it’s been used, or to add extras like a light for better visibility in the water.

A rearm kit is what’s needed after an inflatable lifejacket has fired – it typically includes a new gas cylinder and firing head/cartridge, restoring the jacket to ready-to-use condition without needing a full replacement jacket. Match the rearm kit exactly to your specific lifejacket model, since cylinder size and firing mechanism vary between manufacturers and even between models from the same brand – the wrong kit may not fit or, worse, may not fire correctly in an emergency. A lifejacket light clips or attaches to the jacket and activates automatically on contact with water, making a person far easier to spot after dark, worth adding if you don’t already have one fitted.

If you’re not certain which rearm kit or spare fits your specific jacket, check the model details or ask us directly – as Ireland’s Crewsaver service centre, we can confirm compatibility and also carry out the rearm as part of a full service if you’d rather not do it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which rearm kit fits my lifejacket?

Match it exactly to your lifejacket’s specific model – cylinder size and firing mechanism vary between manufacturers and models, so check your jacket’s details or ask us to confirm compatibility.

Do I need a light on my lifejacket?

It’s not mandatory but is a worthwhile addition – it activates automatically on water contact and makes you far easier to spot after dark.

Can I rearm my own lifejacket, or does it need a professional service?

You can fit a correctly matched rearm kit yourself, but if you’re not confident doing so, we can carry out the rearm as part of a full professional service.
