Inflatables & Towables
Our Inflatables & Towables range covers inflatable dinghies, SUP boards and towable rides for use behind a powerboat or RIB, alongside the pumps and repair kits needed to keep them in service.
Match a towable to the boat towing it: check the manufacturer’s minimum horsepower recommendation before buying, since an underpowered boat can’t get a towable properly planing and an overpowered one risks injury to riders if speeds aren’t controlled. Anyone being towed should wear a suitable buoyancy aid regardless of swimming ability – see our Buoyancy Aids category. For inflatable dinghies and SUPs, a decent hand or electric pump (see Pumps, below) and a basic repair kit are worth having from day one rather than after the first puncture, since punctures are common with regular beach or slipway use.
Store inflatables out of direct summer sun when not in use, as UV degrades PVC and hypalon-style fabrics over time.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know what size boat can tow a towable?
Check the towable’s manufacturer minimum horsepower recommendation – an underpowered boat won’t get it planing properly, which is both frustrating and less safe.
Do I need a repair kit for an inflatable?
Yes – punctures are common with regular use on beaches or slipways, so a basic repair kit from day one saves a ruined day out.
