Galway Maritime’s leisure lifejacket range is a dedicated collection of adult Crewsaver inflatable lifejackets for sailing, motorboating and general leisure use around the Irish coast. Every jacket here is a wearable inflatable – automatic or manual, 150N or 275N buoyancy – not a foam buoyancy aid, and each can be booked in for professional Crewsaver servicing in Galway.

Two numbers matter when choosing an adult inflatable: buoyancy rating and inflation type. A 150N lifejacket suits calm, sheltered water such as Galway Bay in good conditions and turns most adults face-up quickly; a 275N jacket is built for offshore and rougher water, including use with heavy waterproof clothing, and is the safer default if you’re unsure. Inflation is either automatic (inflates on contact with water – the recommended choice for most leisure sailors) or manual (the wearer pulls a toggle, favoured by some dinghy sailors and instructors who want direct control).
