Which tier you need depends entirely on how the boat is used, not personal preference: our Leisure Lifejackets category (adult Crewsaver inflatables, 150N/275N) covers general sailing and motorboating for most boat owners. Commercial Lifejackets are built and certified to the higher specification required for working and commercial vessels, with more robust construction to match sustained professional use. Rescue Lifejackets are built for lifeboat crew, harbour and emergency-service use, prioritising durability and performance in the most demanding conditions over comfort or price.

Whichever tier applies to you, buoyancy rating (150N vs 275N, or higher for commercial/rescue-grade) and inflation type (automatic vs manual) are the two questions to answer first, and every inflatable needs annual servicing regardless of tier – we’re Ireland’s Crewsaver service centre and can service jackets across the range.
