Selden Cam Cleat Line Guide 38 – Mk1 Rope Guide for 4-12mm Control Lines

The cam cleat line guide 38 holds the rope over the jaws when the lead comes in off-axis, so the line cleats reliably from a wider range of angles.

  • Line guide for the Seldén 38mm cam cleat range
  • Mk1 pattern guide, part number 433-213-01
  • Rope capacity 4-12mm
  • Hole spacing 38mm centre to centre
  • Weight 13g
  • Fits on the cam cleat’s own fixing centres
  • Keeps the line captive above the jaws
  • Widens the angle over which the cleat will hold
  • Corrosion-resistant construction for continuous salt exposure
  • Suits sheets, reefing lines and coachroof control lines

Not every control line runs straight at its cleat, and this Selden cam cleat line guide 38 is the fitting that solves it. Where a fairlead sets the height of the lead, the line guide holds the rope over the jaws so it cannot jump out when the pull comes from one side. It takes the same 4-12mm rope range as the 38mm cleat and bolts to the same 38mm centres, so it retrofits without new holes. Fit it to sheet cleats on the coaming or to reefing lines led aft along the coachroof. While it weighs only 13g, it makes a real difference on Irish coastal waters where a rolling sea rarely lets a line pull from the same direction twice.

Sold as: one line guide. Cam cleat and fixings are sold separately.
