Selden Cam Cleat Fairlead 27 – Mk1 Line Entry Guide for 3-7mm Rope

The cam cleat fairlead 27 guides the control line squarely into the jaws of a 27mm cam cleat, so the rope bites first time and releases cleanly under load.

  • Fairlead for the Seldén 27mm cam cleat range
  • Mk1 pattern fairlead, part number 433-110-01
  • Rope capacity 3-7mm
  • Hole spacing 27mm centre to centre
  • Mounts directly beneath or ahead of the cam cleat
  • Feeds the line at the correct angle for reliable cleating
  • Reduces rope chafe and jaw wear over the season
  • Corrosion-resistant construction for continuous salt exposure
  • Suits dinghies, keelboats and cruising yacht coachroof lines
  • Typical uses include kicker, cunningham, outhaul and halyard tails

A cam cleat only holds properly when the rope enters it straight, and that is the job of this Selden cam cleat fairlead 27. Bolted on the same 27mm centres as the cleat itself, it lifts and aligns the line so the jaws close on the rope rather than skidding across it. Fit it on kickers, cunninghams, outhauls and halyard tails where the lead angle is awkward or the crew cleats on the move. Because it shares the cleat’s fixing centres, it drops straight onto an existing installation without redrilling. For sailing in Ireland, where gear sits in salt air from March to October, keeping the lead angle right is the simplest way to make a cam cleat last.

Sold as: one fairlead. Cam cleat and fixings are sold separately.
