The standard 16 mm Optimist tiller extension, with a golf club style grip and a fixed rubber joint.
- Length 60 cm
- Diameter 16 mm
- Weight 140 grams
- Silver anodised aluminium tube
- Black golf club style grip
- Fixed rubber joint
- Supplied without rope core
- Used with the EX1130 tiller and extension combination
This is the standard Optimist tiller extension, the one supplied with the EX1130 complete tiller combination and the usual choice for school and club boats. The tube is silver anodised aluminium at 60 cm and 140 grams, and the grip is a black golf club style rubber grip that stays usable in the wet. The joint here is fixed rather than releasable and has no rope core, which keeps the cost down but means the extension cannot be unclipped from the tiller for storage. If you want the extension to survive a torn joint, the Deluxe EX1141 with the rope core is the version to look at instead.
