This automatic drain pump lets a Meaco Arete 20L or 25L dehumidifier run continuously in a spot where gravity drainage to a sink or outside isn’t an option, such as belowdecks or in a cabin without a floor-level outlet. It draws power straight from the dehumidifier itself, so there is no separate wiring to run, and it activates automatically once the tank reaches capacity, pumping water up to 2.5 metres away through the supplied 3 metre hose. Fitting takes no tools: the pump sits in the base of the tank, with the hose and power cable routed out through the side of the unit. For anyone leaving a dehumidifier running unattended aboard a boat for days at a time, it removes the risk of the unit shutting off once its tank fills.
