Epifanes Yacht Enamel is the traditional Dutch topside finish, built on a linseed oil modified alkyd resin that flows out slowly and levels to a deep, even gloss. Because it is a one-pot paint, it takes no mixing ratio and has no pot life to watch, so it suits a shed or a drying-out berth rather than a spray booth. Light Oyster is a soft off-white that sits well against varnished timber on classic hulls, coachroofs and interior joinery. Over the appropriate Epifanes primer it will take on wood, GRP, steel or aluminium, giving a hard, salt-resistant film for a boat that works Atlantic conditions along the west coast. Allow 24 hours between coats, and build three by brush or four by roller for the full film thickness.

Sold as a single 750ml tin. Epifanes Brushthinner and the matching Epifanes primer are sold separately.
