These active charcoal filters fit Meaco Arete One and Arete Two dehumidifiers in the 20L and 25L sizes, working alongside the standard dust filter to strip cooking smells, cigarette smoke and other unwanted odours from the air as the unit dehumidifies. Meaco recommends changing them roughly every three months for continuous odour control, which suits a boat galley or cabin where damp air and cooking smells tend to linger together. Fitting a charcoal filter can slightly increase noise and slightly reduce water extraction efficiency, a trade-off worth knowing before fitting one for the first time. As the packaging cannot be returned once opened, it is worth confirming your Arete model and size before ordering.
