A polyester topcoat is what finishes a fibreglass repair once the laminate has cured. Because this Tricel flowcoat is pre-accelerated and thixotropic, it goes on by brush or roller without running off vertical surfaces, and it cures to a hard, tack-free film rather than staying sticky the way plain laminating resin does. Choose white for standard hull and moulding work, or grey and black where the repair sits against a darker gelcoat or inside a locker. Add MEKP catalyst at 1.5–2.5% by weight and work quickly, as the gel time is under fifteen minutes at 25°C. Condition the tin to 18–23°C first, stir gently so no air is worked in, and check the wet film as you go — 500 to 800 microns is the target. It leaves a durable isophthalic surface that stands up to year-round salt exposure on Irish coastal waters, so it suits hull and deck patches, locker interiors and tender repairs alike.

Sold as: one 1kg pack in the colour selected. MEKP catalyst is not included and is sold separately.
