Epifanes Teak Stain warms faded wood and hides discoloured patches before varnishing, so brightwork starts from an even colour. Apply it in thin coats along the grain to bare, dry, degreased wood sanded with P180–220 paper, and avoid applying it over existing varnish. Because the stain is very runny, wear gloves and face protection and keep a cloth to hand for spills. Once the colour is deep enough, finish with unstained Epifanes varnish to protect the wood. For boat owners in Ireland, it is a simple way to refresh teak and other brightwork that has taken a season of sun, salt and rain.
