Epifanes brush thinner is the thinner Epifanes names for its one-component varnishes and enamels when they are applied by brush or roller. Add it when a varnish starts to pull under the brush, or to thin the first coat on bare wood, and follow the dilution on the data sheet for the product in use. Because it is double-distilled, it keeps the finish clean and free from impurities that can cloud a clear coat. It is a flammable solvent, so use it outdoors or in a well-ventilated space away from heat and flames, and store it tightly sealed. A tin on the shelf makes sense for any Irish boat owner who maintains brightwork or topsides through a short fit-out season.
