This 0.7mm long john wetsuit is the lightest suit in the Crewsaver Phase 2 dinghy range, and it exists for the days when a full wetsuit is simply too much. The long john cut covers the legs and torso while leaving the arms and shoulders entirely free, which is what you want when you are hiking hard or working sheets all afternoon. Worn under a spray top it gives a surprising amount of warmth for its thickness, because most of the heat loss on a dinghy comes from wind on wet skin rather than from the water itself. For summer sailing in Ireland, and for instructors who spend a long day moving between boat and shore, a thin long john is often the most-used suit in the bag.
