Worn over a wetsuit, the Crewsaver Centre spray top does the job a wetsuit cannot — it stops the wind stripping heat off wet neoprene, which is what actually makes a sailor cold. Neoprene cuffs and collar seal the openings while the vent in the collar lets moisture escape on a hard beat, and the wide elastic hem keeps the top from riding up when hiking. Reinforced elbows and overlocked raw edges are there because centre kit gets pulled on and off wet, several times a day, by people in a hurry. For dinghy sailing on Galway Bay and around the Irish coast, a spray top is usually the difference between a full afternoon afloat and an early trip home.
Sold as: one spray top. Wetsuit and buoyancy aid are sold separately.
