Purcells Galway Maritime has been at the heart of boating on the west coast of Ireland for over fifty years. The business is owned and run by the Purcell family, who have a long-standing involvement in sailing, instruction, and marine services in Galway. In 2020, Pierce Purcell Jnr acquired the company and became Managing Director, building on a lifetime spent in and around the marine industry and continuing a strong family tradition of supporting Irish boating.
Today, Purcells Galway Maritime is a one-stop marine chandlery serving customers nationwide from its base near Galway Docks. The business supplies a wide range of equipment including safety gear, sailing clothing, ropes, charts, and technical marine products, alongside specialist lifejacket servicing for leisure, commercial, and government users. With a strong focus on customer service, fast dispatch, and practical expertise, the company supports everyone from local boaters to visiting yachts along Ireland’s west coast.
