The Ronstan RF738 is a genuine screw-in dinghy bung, sold as a replacement plug to suit Ronstan’s RF294 and RF737 drain plug housings. Made from nylon with a coarse thread, it screws firmly into place to form a watertight seal, then backs out easily by hand once the boat is ashore and needs draining. It is one of the most common fittings on Topper and Topper Topaz dinghies, and turns up on many other small sailing boats using the same housing, so it is worth keeping a spare aboard.
