Polyform Mooring Buoy CCE3 with Galvanised Centre Rod – 540 mm Inflatable Mooring Buoy

A heavy-duty inflatable mooring buoy with a hot-dipped galvanised centre rod and swivel, built for permanent moorings in exposed coastal water.

  • Polyform AS CCE-series inflatable mooring buoy
  • 540 mm (21″”) diameter buoy body
  • Short mooring rod, the CCE configuration
  • 19 mm rod diameter, 740 mm rod length
  • Hot-dipped galvanised rod and fittings throughout
  • Swivel at the lower end takes the mooring
  • Upper rod section and grip ring coated in dark blue plastic
  • CCE range buoyancy from 16 kg to 58 kg
  • Soft PVC construction, light to handle for its size
  • Supplied factory-assembled, inflate before use
  • Red body for visibility against grey water
  • Grip ring is for handling only, not for mooring

The Polyform mooring buoy CCE3 is the buoy you put down and leave down. Its body is soft inflatable PVC rather than rigid plastic, so it rides a swell instead of fighting it, while the hot-dipped galvanised rod running through the centre carries the load between the ground chain below and the pick-up above. Because the rod ends in a swivel, the buoy can turn with wind and tide without building turns into the riser. Moor only from that lower swivel; the dark blue grip ring at the top is there so you can lift and handle the buoy, and it is not rated to hold the boat. The buoy arrives assembled and needs only inflating before laying. For swinging moorings on Galway Bay and along the west coast, where year-round salt exposure finishes off unprotected steel in a season, the galvanised rod and swivel are what make this buoy worth laying.
