The D-Splicer medium soft splicing fid is built for exactly the job that stalls most home splicers: getting a core through a rope that has almost no room to spare. Traditional pull-through methods use a wire loop, which means doubling the material back on itself, and on a tightly braided or Dyneema line that extra bulk can jam the splice before it starts. Because the fid’s hollow white cover clamps directly onto the rope, the core and cover can follow through inline instead, so the pull stays slim the whole way.
