The D-Splicer small soft splicing fid takes on the job that catches most home splicers out on fine cordage: threading a core through a rope that barely has room to spare. Traditional pull-through methods rely on a wire loop, which means doubling the material back on itself, and on thin or tightly braided line that extra bulk can jam the splice before it starts. Because the fid’s hollow white cover clamps directly onto the rope, the core and cover can follow through inline instead, keeping the pull slim from end to end.
