This Nuova Rade 80Ah battery box gives a mid-sized starting or service battery a secure, contained home in the engine bay or battery locker. The hold-down strap and foot clamps keep the battery from shifting as a boat works in a swell, while the acid-collecting base protects the bilge and surrounding wiring should a cell leak. Made from polypropylene that resists acid, UV and heat, it is built to cope with the damp, salt-laden conditions typical of sailing in Ireland. The lift-off lid makes routine terminal checks straightforward, and the side handles mean it can be lifted clear for maintenance without wrestling it out by the strap.
