The Blue Sea 187-Series 150A Circuit Breaker gives a single circuit both a manual switch and reliable overload protection, so there is no need to fit a separate isolator alongside a fuse. Its trip-free design means the lever cannot be held ON if a fault current is present, and the waterproof IP66 case shrugs off spray in an open cockpit or engine bay. The robust 5/16″ terminal studs give plenty of clearance for heavy-gauge wire lugs, while the large lever shows at a glance whether the circuit is live. Being ignition protected to SAE J1171, it is a sound choice for a 150A DC circuit such as a windlass or bow thruster on a boat kept on the Irish coast.
